Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Our client, a leading manufacturer of specialist packaging and building products, is expanding its engineering capacity at a plant near Dudley. They are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a secure, well‑respected organisation and support state‑of‑the‑art machinery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day engineering and maintenance tasks across a range of automated and packaging equipment.
• Ensure work is carried out to the highest standards and maximise machine efficiency.
• Maintain and troubleshoot packaging, laminating, pump and other manufacturing machinery.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance programmes (PPM/TPM).

Required profile

• Mechanical engineering background with hands‑on experience.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Time‑served engineer with multi‑skill knowledge.
• Experience of PPM and TPM in a manufacturing environment.

• Salary £35,000 – £43,000 per year.
