Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our family‑owned precision engineering business in the Farnham area. You will be responsible for keeping our CNC equipment and plant facilities running smoothly across four nearby sites.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on CNC machines and a wide range of production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical faults to minimise downtime and optimise performance.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Diagnose and fix control‑system issues using fault‑finding expertise.
• Maintain building services including electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing and general infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working culture.
• Coordinate specialised repairs with external vendors and contractors.
• Record all activities in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Required profile

• Minimum HNC or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
• Proven experience maintaining CNC machinery and other manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to work under pressure.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
