Maintenance Engineer – Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Sunbury-on-Thames. The role offers hands‑on experience maintaining injection moulding machinery and associated equipment, supporting efficient production operations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs safely, efficiently and cost‑effectively.
• Minimise production downtime by responding promptly to maintenance requirements.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, risk assessments and required documentation.
• Follow company procedures, health and safety policies and safe working practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance processes.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent) in electrical, mechanical or general engineering.
• Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance principles.
• Strong awareness of health and safety requirements.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills.
• Residence within a 30‑minute commute of the workplace.
• No visa sponsorship available.

What we offer

• Salary £25,000 – £32,000 per year (depending on experience).
• Full‑time permanent contract, 36 hours per week, Monday‑Thursday 8:00‑18:00.
