Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical & Electrical

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join a well‑established manufacturing business in Whitstable, Kent. The role offers a stable, full‑time position with a Monday‑to‑Friday, days‑based schedule and a strong focus on work‑life balance. You will be responsible for both reactive and proactive maintenance of a diverse range of plant equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical maintenance on a variety of production machinery.
• Perform simple electrical tasks and troubleshoot minor electrical faults.
• Respond to reactive breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance programmes.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure equipment reliability.

Required profile

• Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.
