Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical/Electrical

About the role

We are seeking a versatile Maintenance Engineer to join a fast‑paced production factory near Kendal. The role involves both mechanical and electrical maintenance, supporting all production machinery and contributing to continuous improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve breakdowns on production equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across the plant.
• Install, commission and upgrade new machinery and systems.
• Collaborate with a multi‑skilled team to share knowledge and develop weaker discipline.
• Participate in internal and external training programmes.

Required profile

• Background in maintenance or service engineering within an industrial, manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and willingness to develop both mechanical and electrical skills.
• Ability to work rotating day and afternoon shifts, Monday to Friday.
