Maintenance Engineer – Multi‑Skilled (4‑on‑4‑off)

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer / Multi‑Skilled to join a large manufacturing operation in the West Midlands. You will work on a 4‑on‑4‑off rotating shift pattern, supporting a variety of production machinery and automated equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform reactive maintenance, fault finding and breakdown repairs on production lines.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and equipment inspections.
• Implement machinery improvements, installations and project work.
• Support a range of manufacturing and automated equipment, ensuring optimal uptime.

Required profile

• Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship, hold relevant engineering qualifications, or possess significant maintenance engineering experience.
• Previous maintenance experience in manufacturing, production, FMCG, distribution, logistics or an industrial environment.
• Mechanical or electrical maintenance background – multi‑skilled engineers are encouraged.
• Proactive, hands‑on attitude with the ability to work effectively within a team.
