Maintenance Engineer – Multi‑Skilled (Electrical Bias)

About the role

We are a leading SME food manufacturer seeking a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical focus. The role is based on‑site and operates across three shift patterns, providing a stable environment to maintain and improve plant equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute planned and unplanned maintenance tasks on hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical and PLC/inverter assets.
• Diagnose faults, perform logical troubleshooting and ensure equipment is ready for production.
• Maintain a safe system of work, conduct risk assessments and follow safety procedures.
• Coach production staff on equipment operation and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Apprenticeship‑trained or holding a technical qualification (minimum NVQ Level 3 / BTEC Engineering or equivalent).
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the food sector.
• Ability to work independently, follow procedures and act with integrity.
