Maintenance Engineer (Rotating Shift Pattern)

About the role

An experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer is required for a site in South Lanarkshire, reachable from Glasgow and surrounding towns. The role operates on a rotating shift pattern covering early, back and night shifts, supporting a long‑standing manufacturing operation.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to reactive breakdowns.
• Perform electrical fault finding and diagnose issues on PLC systems.
• Conduct general electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs of buildings and facilities.
• Collaborate closely with process engineering and quality engineering teams.
• Assist colleagues with project‑related work.

Required profile

• Completed a time‑served apprenticeship.
• Maintenance experience within the manufacturing sector.
• Proven ability to fault‑find on PLC systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
