Maintenance Manager – Care Home

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the upkeep, safety and presentation of Osprey Court Care Home. You will be responsible for ensuring all building systems, equipment and environments meet high standards, supporting a safe and comfortable setting for residents and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all maintenance activities across the building and grounds, including planned maintenance, reactive repairs and improvement projects.
• Coordinate external contractors and manage maintenance priorities in partnership with the Home Manager.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and relevant care‑home standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, schedules and compliance documentation.
• Lead and develop the internal maintenance team, fostering a proactive and reliable approach.

Required profile

• Previous experience in maintenance, facilities or a similar role within a care or residential setting.
• Proven ability to manage maintenance operations or projects, including budgeting and contractor oversight.
• Strong organisational, problem‑solving and prioritisation skills.
• Good understanding of health and safety and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Proactive, reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
