Maintenance Officer – Part‑time (16 hrs/week)

About the role

The Maintenance Officer will ensure the care home remains safe, well‑maintained and fully operational. Working on‑site in the east end of Glasgow, you will use your practical skills to support the comfort and safety of up to 60 residents.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections, repairs and installations across the building and grounds.
• Maintain electrical systems, plumbing, heating and other building services.
• Identify and resolve issues early, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Coordinate with external contractors and support the Home Manager in maintenance planning.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Required profile

• Previous experience in maintenance, facilities or a similar hands‑on role.
• Ability to work independently, manage workload and prioritize tasks.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, organised and proactive problem‑solver.
