Maintenance Operative – Temporary (5 weeks)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Operative to join the King Square Studios team in Bristol on a 5‑week temporary assignment. The role involves general maintenance, repairs and preparing rooms for new residents, working closely with site management.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repair work throughout the property.
• Complete basic painting and decorating tasks.
• Perform minor plumbing and joinery repairs.
• Replace fixtures and fittings as required.
• Undertake planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Support room inspections and prepare rooms for incoming residents.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Maintain a clean and organised working environment.

Required profile

• Previous maintenance or facilities experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Friendly, professional communication style.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and immediate availability.

What we offer

• £13.50 per hour
• Monday‑Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch
