Maintenance Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Project Manager to lead the upkeep, repair and refurbishment of a portfolio of landlord‑owned commercial properties across London. The role blends project management, facilities oversight and building compliance, requiring a hands‑on approach both in the office and on site.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate internal teams, external contractors and service providers to deliver maintenance projects.
• Conduct inspections of vacant and occupied commercial premises.
• Oversee planned, preventative and reactive maintenance activities, including leak investigations and defect resolution.
• Work with procurement to source materials and manage project budgets, producing expenditure reports.
• Communicate with tenants, leaseholders, landlords and maintenance crews.
• Prepare and review fire risk assessments, conduct fire safety and fire‑door inspections, and maintain asbestos registers.
• Develop RAMS, risk assessments and method statements, and interpret as‑built plans.
• Monitor operational KPIs and manage Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules.

Required profile

• Minimum five years’ experience in facilities management, maintenance project management or construction project management within a commercial property environment.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance, construction materials, tools and equipment.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple contractors and projects simultaneously.
• Good understanding of health and safety legislation and statutory building compliance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
