Maintenance Stores Operative – Quarry Site

About the role

Join the stores team at Mountsorrel Quarry and play a vital part in keeping daily operations running smoothly. You will manage stock, support engineers and ensure the right parts are available exactly when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, check and book in deliveries.
• Accurately manage stock levels and inventory control.
• Maintain and update stock records using internal systems.
• Pick, pack and issue parts to site teams.
• Transport items across the site, including post and parcels.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards (5S).
• Carry out basic vehicle checks and report defects.
• Collaborate with multiple site teams and external suppliers.

Required profile

• Proactive and enjoys responsibility.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience in a stores, manufacturing or engineering environment (heavy stores preferred).
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Forklift licence desirable (training provided).
• Ability to commute from Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, Loughborough, Burton upon Trent or surrounding areas.

Required skills

• SAP (or similar inventory system).
• Microsoft Office.
• Forklift operation.
• UK manual driving licence.
