Maintenance Team Leader – Factory Operations

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Team Leader to oversee all maintenance activities in a fast‑paced factory environment. You will split your time between practical repairs and leading a small team of engineers, ensuring equipment reliability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Perform breakdown repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks.
• Motivate, coach, and supervise a team of Maintenance Engineers.
• Champion the Planned Preventive Maintenance system and ensure its execution.
• Coordinate projects, contractors and external vendors as required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the factory.
• Produce regular maintenance reports and data.

Required profile

• Experienced Maintenance Engineer with leadership or supervisory experience.
• Qualified in mechanical, electrical or multi‑skilled engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with motors, bearings, chains, gearboxes, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, relays and control panels.
• Passionate about engineering and eager to make a difference.

What we offer

• Salary £44,000 – £48,500 per annum (depending on experience).
• Full‑time permanent contract, Monday‑Friday 8:00‑16:30.
