Maintenance Team Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Team Manager to lead our maintenance crew across multiple guardian‑occupied properties in London and the surrounding area. The role combines hands‑on maintenance oversight with team leadership to ensure properties remain safe, compliant and ready for occupancy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and schedule the maintenance team across several sites.
• Plan and monitor daily maintenance tasks to meet operational KPIs, including fit‑outs and readiness for new occupants.
• Coordinate with the Operations Manager and FM Admin team to align property availability with maintenance work.
• Manage contractor relationships, ensuring compliance, performance and cost‑effectiveness.
• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues and emergencies.
• Conduct quality checks, sign off completed works and produce regular reports for line management.

Required profile

• Vocational qualification in facilities management, building maintenance or a related field.
• Health and safety certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are preferred.
• Valid driving licence for travel between sites.
• Proven experience managing a team of maintenance staff or contractors.
• Strong knowledge of health‑and‑safety regulations, building compliance and property maintenance practices.
