Maintenance Technician / Assistant – £24k-£28k + Overtime + Vehicle

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician / Assistant to join a leading client in Hyde. The role involves travelling across Manchester and surrounding areas to perform planned and reactive maintenance on customer sites, offering a clear path for career development in facilities and mechanical work.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on a variety of equipment.
• Perform basic mechanical and general maintenance tasks, including routine inspections, servicing and minor repairs.
• Report faults, complete basic repairs and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Travel between customer sites, ensuring work is completed safely and to high standards.

Required profile

• At least 6 months of experience in maintenance, facilities, mechanical or handyman roles.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer‑service attitude.

Required skills

• Basic mechanical maintenance.
• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) procedures.
