Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join an established food manufacturing operation in Trafford Park. The successful candidate will ensure that all plant equipment and facilities remain operational through routine and corrective maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and planned maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faulty equipment, structures and assets.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
• Schedule and coordinate repairs, including liaison with external contractors.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for spares and supplies.
• Record downtime and communicate with production teams.
• Complete required maintenance documentation and support HACCP compliance.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
• Background in fast‑paced food manufacturing environments.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and HACCP standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What we offer

• Salary range £40,000 – £45,000 per year
• Full‑time, 40 hours per week
