Maintenance Technician – Port Clarence

About the role

Calor Gas Limited is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its Port Clarence site. You will be responsible for keeping plant equipment running smoothly through preventative maintenance and rapid response to breakdowns.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment failures promptly.
• Carry out planned maintenance tasks to optimise performance.
• Install, modify and fabricate plant equipment to Calor specifications.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete required paperwork.
• Support shift coverage and respond to urgent maintenance needs as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a production maintenance environment.
• City & Guilds certification in an engineering discipline.
• Right to work and reside in the UK.
• Desirable: NEBOSH/IOSH safety qualification or COMPEX qualification.

Required skills

• Mechanical equipment diagnosis and repair.
• Preventative maintenance procedures.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Operating lathes, mills and drills.
• Installation and modification of mechanical plant equipment.
