Maintenance Technician – Student Accommodation (Bath)

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join a busy student accommodation site in central Bath. The role involves ensuring rooms and communal areas are safe, functional and ready for new residents, with flexible working hours between 8‑9 am and 4‑5 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repair work across the building.
• Repair door handles, locks, furniture, fittings and fixtures.
• Replace light bulbs and perform basic electrical repairs.
• Undertake minor plumbing tasks such as fixing taps, unblocking drains and replacing shower doors.
• Complete painting touch‑ups and minor decorating work.
• Inspect appliances and report any faults.
• Ensure all rooms meet health and safety standards.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from the site team.
• Support the wider team in preparing accommodation for incoming residents.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a maintenance, handyman, caretaking or facilities role.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and commitment to health and safety.
• Immediate availability.
