Maintenance Technician – Student Accommodation

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team supporting student accommodation in Central London. In this hands‑on position you will ensure that all repair and maintenance requests are dealt with promptly, helping to create a safe and comfortable living environment for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service while coordinating with colleagues and management.
• Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance across the property, including plumbing and electrical tasks.
• Monitor and manage onsite contractors to guarantee high‑quality workmanship.
• Perform scheduled checks such as fire alarm, emergency lighting, fire extinguisher, water hygiene, and PAT testing.
• Conduct regular building patrols, flat inspections and health & safety audits.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance documentation is up to date.
• Support reception and administrative duties when required.

Required profile

• Experience in general maintenance, particularly plumbing and/or electrical work.
• Self‑motivated, reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong understanding of health & safety legislation.
• Customer‑focused attitude with the ability to build rapport with residents.
