About the role
Cover People are recruiting a Male PE Teacher for a secondary academy (11‑16) in Bury, Greater Manchester. The role starts in September 2026 and is a full‑time, long‑term temporary position, allowing you to deliver engaging cover lessons and support early‑career teachers.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality PE teaching in line with the national curriculum for KS3 and GCSE.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively.
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
- Support the academic and personal development of all learners.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching KS3 & GCSE PE and providing general cover.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
