About the role
We are seeking a male Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a secondary school in Greenwich. The role involves one‑to‑one and small‑group work with pupils aged 11‑18, focusing on autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). The position runs from September 2026 to the end of the academic year on a full‑time basis.
Key responsibilities
- Provide individualized support to pupils with ASD and PMLD, adapting activities to meet their learning goals.
- Assist in delivering intervention groups and classroom tasks under the guidance of teachers.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, communicating observations to the teaching team.
- Help create a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with SEN students, particularly ASD and PMLD.
- Ability to build positive relationships with young people.
- Flexibility, adaptability and a proactive attitude.
Required skills
- Knowledge of ASD and PMLD support strategies.
What we offer
- Competitive daily rate of £105‑£117.
- Full‑time schedule, Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑3:30 pm.
