Male SEN Teaching Assistant – South Liverpool

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Male SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs in a South Liverpool school. The role involves providing tailored assistance both in the classroom and during other school activities.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEND, including autism, ADHD, SEMH and other needs.
- Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual requirements.
- Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation and independence.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment.
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
- Calm, patient and resilient approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trusting relationships and work as part of a team.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
