Male Support Worker – Full Time (39 hrs)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Male Support Worker to join our specialist Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) service in Hildenborough. You will work with five men who have learning disabilities, autism, communication needs and behaviours of concern, helping them achieve greater independence and quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Provide person‑centred support that promotes choice, dignity and respect.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as cooking, shopping, budgeting and home maintenance.
• Deliver personal care when required.
• Apply Positive Behaviour Support strategies to understand and respond to behaviours of concern.
• Encourage participation in community activities, hobbies and personal interests.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and behaviours of concern within a PBS environment.
• Ability to travel to a rural location – a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle or motorbike are essential.
• Understanding that behaviour is a form of communication and commitment to proactive, person‑centred approaches.
