Male Support Worker

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Male Support Worker to join our 24‑hour residential service for adults with learning disabilities. You will help residents live fulfilling lives by providing personalised care, encouraging independence and ensuring a safe, engaging environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting.
• Prepare meals and support residents in eating and drinking.
• Carry out manual handling tasks safely and assist with mobility.
• Administer medication, creams and lotions as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate records, including finance and audit‑related documentation.
• Help residents manage their money safely.
• Keep the home clean, tidy and compliant with health‑and‑safety standards.
• Organise varied, stimulating daily activities.
• Liaise with landlords on tenancy issues and repairs.

Required profile

• Passionate, caring and enthusiastic about supporting people.
• Flexible, patient and non‑judgemental.
• Team‑player with high energy.
• Strong communication skills, including interpreting non‑verbal cues.
• Physically able to perform manual handling tasks.
• Experience helping people manage anxiety is a plus.

Required skills

• Valid driver’s licence and ability to drive.
