Managed Services IT Engineer

About the role

Our client, a leading managed IT services provider, is seeking a Managed Services IT Engineer to join their Bristol support team. You will be the first point of contact for users, delivering technical assistance across Microsoft cloud services and networking environments while developing expertise in a fast‑moving MSP setting.

Key responsibilities

• Log, prioritise and resolve support tickets using a PSA platform (e.g., ConnectWise).
• Provide first‑line support for Microsoft 365, Azure and Intune environments.
• Monitor and remediate alerts via Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) tools.
• Troubleshoot networking issues including LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, DNS and DHCP.
• Maintain accurate documentation and knowledge‑base articles in IT Glue or similar.
• Assist with onboarding new clients and deploying IT solutions.
• Collaborate with 2nd and 3rd line engineers to resolve complex incidents.
• Identify recurring problems and contribute to service‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure and Intune.
• Experience with PSA tools (e.g., ConnectWise) and RMM platforms.
• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, DNS, DHCP).
• Proven ability to produce clear technical documentation.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
