Management Accountant – Bookkeeping & VAT Role

About the role
We are seeking a Management Accountant to join a friendly, Farnham‑based accountancy practice. You will handle day‑to‑day bookkeeping for a portfolio of SME clients while receiving training in VAT and management accounts.
Key responsibilities
- Day‑to‑day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
- Bank and control account reconciliations
- Preparation of VAT returns (with support where needed)
- Assisting with monthly and quarterly management accounts
- Reviewing bookkeeping entries and resolving queries
- Supporting clients with Xero cloud accounting software
- Liaising with HMRC when required
Required profile
- Studying or open to studying AAT (Level 2‑4)
- Exposure to bookkeeping and VAT
- Good Excel skills and strong attention to detail
- Confident, friendly communication skills
- Reliable, team‑focused approach
