Management Accountant – Hybrid (Warrington)

About the role

This is a full‑time Management Accountant position based in Warrington with a hybrid working model. You will own the preparation of management accounts, forecasting, budgeting and financial controls, supporting business performance across a dynamic organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate monthly management accounts and reporting packs on schedule.
• Develop and enhance performance reporting and analysis.
• Partner with stakeholders to review overhead spend and forecast future performance.
• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Analyse variances against budget and provide insightful commentary.
• Maintain robust financial controls across systems and processes.
• Identify and implement improvements to reporting, systems and controls.
• Complete month‑end balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve issues.
• Build strong relationships with budget holders and finance business partners.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and document financial processes.
• Deliver monthly group reporting on P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and working capital.
• Manage intercompany accounting processes and reconciliations.
• Provide technical accounting support to the wider finance team.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects and business improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Experience preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders.
• Commercially aware and able to translate financial data into business insights.
