Management Accountant

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established engineering and manufacturing business to recruit a Management Accountant for their finance team in Milton Keynes. This permanent, hands‑on role will produce accurate monthly management accounts, support budgeting and forecasting, and help improve finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and clear commentary on variances.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and month‑end reporting, including payroll‑related figures.
• Perform day‑to‑day finance tasks such as reconciliations, VAT returns and maintaining the fixed asset register.
• Ensure financial data is clean, consistent and reliable across the business.
• Collaborate with other departments to explain costs, performance and support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified (ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience.
• Experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering or SME settings is advantageous.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
