Management Accountant

About the role

This contract position supports a fast‑growing technology business based just outside Cheltenham. The Management Accountant will own gross profit reporting, provide insight into commercial performance and partner with sales, operations and delivery teams to influence decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Own and develop gross profit reporting across the group
• Deliver accurate, timely revenue and cost‑of‑sales analysis
• Produce detailed margin analysis by product, customer and revenue stream
• Investigate margin variances and leakage, identifying improvement opportunities
• Provide clear insight into key gross‑profit drivers and commercial performance
• Business partner with sales, operations and delivery teams to challenge and support decisions
• Enhance and streamline gross‑profit reporting processes and controls
• Deliver concise monthly commentary versus forecast and prior periods
• Support budgeting and forecasting for revenue and cost lines
• Build and improve reporting packs for senior stakeholders

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Management Accountant, Commercial Finance or FP&A role
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on margin and performance
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, changing environment
• Confident communicator with the ability to partner with non‑finance stakeholders
• Experience in multi‑entity or high‑growth businesses is advantageous
