Management Accountant

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing international SaaS business, is looking for a Management Accountant to join its Finance team in Reading. Working on a hybrid schedule (two days in the office per week), you will support strategic decision‑making, maintain strong financial controls, and help drive operational efficiency across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Own elements of the month‑end close, including journals, accruals, pre‑payments and other accounting adjustments.
• Prepare and deliver accurate, timely monthly management accounts and detailed balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Produce financial analysis to support business performance, strategic planning and commercial decision‑making.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow planning processes.
• Develop and enhance management information, dashboards and reporting capabilities, including SaaS and recurring‑revenue metrics.
• Partner with Professional Services, Customer Success and Sales teams to improve financial visibility.
• Assist external auditors during the annual audit and statutory reporting.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant or equivalent finance qualification.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge combined with commercial analysis experience.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and senior leadership.
• Experience in a high‑growth, SaaS or technology‑focused environment is desirable.
