Management Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join a growing business in Milton Keynes. The role offers exposure across all aspects of management accounting, allowing you to take ownership, improve processes and work closely with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and support month-end close.
• Post journals, accruals and pre-payments.
• Complete balance-sheet reconciliations and maintain financial controls.
• Investigate variances and provide clear commentary on financial performance.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow reporting.
• Support the year-end audit process and statutory reporting requirements.
• Produce financial reports and analysis for internal stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting.

Required profile

• Experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role.
• Good understanding of month-end processes and management accounts preparation.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.
• Effective communication with colleagues across the business.
• Either part-qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), fully qualified or qualified by experience.

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Confidence working with finance systems.
