Management Accountant

About the role

Beagle Aircraft, a leading aerospace manufacturer, is seeking a commercially‑minded Management Accountant to join its Finance team in Christchurch. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will deliver accurate monthly management accounts, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide commercial insight that drives business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet and cash‑flow statements.
• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process and perform variance analysis with clear commentary.
• Monitor manufacturing costs, overheads and product margins, identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
• Track major capital expenditure projects, comparing actual spend against budgets.
• Develop financial models and commercial analyses to support strategic decisions.
• Assist with year‑end audit activities and ensure compliance with financial controls.
• Help with cash‑flow forecasting and working‑capital management.
• Collaborate with operational teams to improve efficiency and profitability.

Required profile

• ACC​A, CIMA or ACA qualification – part‑qualified, finalist or fully qualified.
• Proven experience as a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis capabilities.
• Excellent analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
