Management Accountant

About the role

Skanska UK is seeking a Management Accountant on a 1‑year fixed‑term contract to cover maternity leave. You will join the Finance Operating Unit in Watford, supporting the Building Services finance team with accurate and timely financial information while ensuring strong governance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Senior Management Accountant with cost reviews and re‑allocations.
• Calculate cost recharges and prepare cost journal entries.
• Perform monthly project cash reconciliations.
• Assist with balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Provide high‑quality backup for interim and year‑end audit sampling.
• Offer ad‑hoc support to project commercial teams on cost corrections, cash, and recharges.

Required profile

• Several years of accounting experience.
• Early‑stage student working towards an accounting qualification.
• Strong account reconciliation and validation abilities.
• Excellent collaboration and communication with cross‑functional teams.
• Good data analysis, attention to detail, and numerical skills.
• Proficient use of Excel and Oracle.
