Management Accountant

About the role

The Management Accountant will oversee daily financial operations, ensuring accurate records, robust controls, and timely reporting. You will lead a small finance team and play a key part in implementing and optimising the Odoo accounting system.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day finance activities and maintain effective financial controls.
• Ensure financial records are accurate, up‑to‑date and reliable for decision‑making.
• Support implementation, optimisation and ongoing use of Odoo as the primary finance system.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve financial processes and reporting capabilities.
• Monitor and enhance financial tracking, ensuring information is organised and accessible.
• Lead the finance team to produce meaningful outputs and drive longer‑term efficiencies.
• Provide regular financial updates to the Managing Director, highlighting significant issues.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and working‑capital activities.
• Prepare timely management information and finance reports for senior leadership, highlighting key variances and risks.

Required profile

• Hands‑on finance professional with a proactive attitude.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a small finance team.
• Strong communication skills, especially with senior management.
• Experience in month‑end reporting and financial controls.
• Familiarity with Odoo implementation; Sage experience is advantageous.
