Management Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a commercially sharp Management Accountant to join a fast‑moving, project‑driven organisation in Warrington. You will be embedded within the business, providing real‑time financial insight that drives performance and supports our next phase of growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including balance‑sheet reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and work‑in‑progress calculations.
• Handle VAT returns and group reporting requirements.
• Produce weekly cash‑flow forecasts and maintain strong financial controls.
• Oversee live project finances, forecasting out‑turn costs and cash‑flows.
• Analyse labour allocation, cost recovery and detailed job‑cost margins.
• Support budget reviews, re‑forecasts and develop meaningful financial KPIs.
• Identify early‑warning signals of margin risk and recommend corrective actions.
• Strengthen controls, improve processes and contribute to automation initiatives.
• Partner with operational managers to translate data into clear commercial insight.
