Management Accountant

About the role

Are you an ambitious Management Accountant looking to make a genuine impact? This role offers exposure to senior stakeholders, business partnering, financial reporting and strategic decision‑making within a growing organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and variance analysis
• Produce insightful reporting packs for senior leadership and budget holders
• Partner with operational managers to provide financial advice and commercial support
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
• Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Support the preparation of annual statutory accounts and year‑end processes
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll, banking and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support cashflow monitoring and treasury activities
• Develop and improve financial systems, reporting processes and internal controls
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practice
• Contribute to wider finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Management Accountant
• Strong month‑end management accounting experience
• Excellent Excel and financial systems knowledge
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Experience producing budgets, forecasts and financial reports
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non‑finance colleagues
• Continuous improvement mindset with experience enhancing financial processes
