Management Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join a forward‑thinking Chartered Accountancy firm in Canterbury, Kent. This permanent, full‑time position offers the chance to work across a varied client base, including farming, land, estates and renewable sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review management accounts, budgets, forecasts and variance analysis.
• Oversee and develop junior team members, providing training and review of their work.
• Conduct payroll reviews and maintain up‑to‑date client accounting records.
• Accurately prepare and review VAT returns.
• Assist clients in improving internal processes and procedures.
• Provide interim financial controller support as required.

Required profile

• Qualified to AAT, ACA, ACCA or CIMA level with practice experience.
• Strong bookkeeping experience and knowledge of VAT.
• Proven ability to produce management accounts with KPIs, cash flows and budget‑vs‑actual analysis.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Confident client‑facing communication and eligibility to work in the UK without restriction.

What we offer
