Management Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our client in Cheadle Hulme. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will handle day‑to‑day accounting and provide financial insight to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly Management Accounts for assigned subsidiaries, including profit & loss and balance sheet statements.
• Execute monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations, covering accruals, pre‑payment schedules, fixed‑asset registers and goods received not invoiced.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers and support intercompany transaction reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Perform monthly bank account reconciliations.
• Assist UK and overseas finance teams as required.
• Support year‑end external audits for assigned subsidiaries.
• Undertake ad‑hoc financial duties as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in management accounting.
• Strong proficiency with Excel.
• Methodical approach with ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Confident communicator.
