Management Accountant

About the role

Citadel Source is partnering with a growing services organisation in Bristol to hire a Management Accountant. Reporting to the CFO, you will blend core accounting duties with forecasting, analytics and process improvement, working in a hybrid model of three days in the office and two days remote.

Key responsibilities

• Own client money accounting processes and ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls.
• Manage monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations across multiple control accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Process and control client and office payments, reviewing authorisation documentation.
• Calculate and reconcile commission payments and produce related reporting.
• Monitor aged debt, disbursements and recovery performance, supporting bad‑debt provisioning.
• Produce rolling cash‑collection forecasts and analyse forecast accuracy.
• Support wider cash‑flow planning, working‑capital management and build reporting on debt, cash collections and commissions.
• Use data and analytical tools to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities, developing predictive reporting and early‑warning indicators.
• Contribute to automation and efficiency initiatives across the finance function.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA or AAT candidate actively studying towards a professional qualification.
• Strong experience with balance‑sheet reconciliations, financial controls and handling client money.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Proactive attitude with a curiosity for technology, automation and AI in finance.
• Effective communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders across the business.
