Management Accountant

About the role

Ayvens, a provider of leasing, subscription and fleet management services, is seeking a Management Accountant to join its Finance team in Bristol. The Finance function supports the company's strategic objectives through accurate reporting, business analysis, risk management and financial control, working closely with stakeholders across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with analysis and commentary on performance against budget, forecast and prior periods.
• Own accounting and reporting for designated balance sheet and income statement areas, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with Group policies.
• Post and review monthly journals, accruals and prepayments in line with reporting deadlines.
• Produce management information and dashboards that support operational and strategic decisions.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring control accounts are fully supported.
• Partner with budget holders and Finance Business Partners on annual budgeting and periodic forecasting.
• Support the year-end statutory audit, respond to auditor queries and provide supporting documentation.
• Identify improvements to financial processes, controls and reporting, and contribute to finance transformation initiatives and ad hoc projects.

Required profile

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant, or in the final stages of qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience in management accounting, financial accounting or commercial finance.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to a range of stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Strong Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups and data analysis.
• Experience preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Desirable: Power BI or similar reporting tools, budgeting and forecasting experience, regulated financial services experience, and exposure to process improvement or finance transformation.
