Management Accountant – Liverpool City Centre

About the role

We are seeking a part‑qualified Management Accountant to join a close‑knit finance team within a well‑established international business. Based in Liverpool City Centre, you will own the day‑to‑day finance function for one of the group’s key operating businesses and work closely with senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts and perform strong reconciliations.
• Prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Manage purchase and sales ledger functions.
• Review aged debt and oversee payment approvals.
• Ensure timely client billing and supplier invoice processing.
• Carry out balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintain financial controls.
• Handle VAT returns, treasury activities and foreign currency transactions.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Drive compliance and continuously improve finance processes.

Required profile

• Studying towards ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience in a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant role.
• Confident in producing management accounts with strong reconciliation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
