Management Accountant – Manufacturing Finance

About the role

A growing manufacturing business in Kent is seeking a Management Accountant to join its finance team. This role offers a part‑qualified accountant the chance to develop commercial finance skills in a fast‑paced operational environment, working closely with senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Provide financial insight and commentary to support business performance discussions.
• Partner with operational teams to improve financial understanding and decision‑making.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Analyse costs, margins and operational performance to identify trends and opportunities.
• Assist with month‑end close activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop reporting and processes to enhance visibility of financial performance.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) or fully qualified accountant.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in management accounting, commercial finance or finance business partnering.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret financial data and provide insight.
• Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, FMCG or product‑based environment is advantageous.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships with non‑finance stakeholders.
