About the role
We are seeking a proactive Management Accountant to join our client’s finance team in Newcastle upon Tyne. The role involves preparing management accounts, budgets and forecasts for a diverse portfolio of clients, providing insight that supports strategic decision‑making.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow reporting.
- Produce financial reports and performance analysis for clients.
- Identify trends, variances and opportunities for business improvement.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity.
- Support ad‑hoc projects and assignments as required.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accountancy practice.
- Experience preparing management accounts and financial reports.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for client visits.
- Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
Required skills
- Xero accounting software.
- Sage accounting software.
- Microsoft Excel.
