Management Accountant – Newtownabbey

About the role

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our Newtownabbey team within the Montgomery Transport Group, part of Ballyvesey Holdings. After an initial onboarding period, the role will be hybrid, offering a blend of office and remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Review profit & loss accounts and balance sheet sections for two divisions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and support the annual budget and quarterly re‑forecasts, collaborating with the Group Financial Controller.
• Produce timely management and operational reports to help budget holders manage costs and revenue targets.
• Allocate company costs to individual revenue streams and implement finance process improvements.
• Lead the annual statutory audit process and ensure compliance.
• Record financial transactions, reconcile spending with budgets, and prepare internal and external financial statements.
• Analyse performance, forecast long‑term strategies, and recommend cost‑saving measures.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and terminology.
• Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and meet tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
