Management Accountant – Not‑for‑Profit Specialist

About the role
Join a well‑established independent accountancy practice that supports charities and purpose‑driven organisations. As a Management Accountant you will own a portfolio of not‑for‑profit clients, providing outsourced finance support and acting as their trusted advisor.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts for each client.
- Produce year‑end statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
- Deliver budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow reporting.
- Reconcile balance‑sheet accounts and investigate variances.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client queries and day‑to‑day financial matters.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and client reporting.
Required profile
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience.
- Previous UK accountancy practice experience.
- Strong management accounting background.
- Experience preparing statutory accounts.
- Experience managing a client portfolio, preferably in the not‑for‑profit sector.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel.
- Proficiency with accounting software.
