About the role
Rolls‑Royce SMR is seeking a Manager – Pumps to lead the pump technology portfolio for its Small Modular Reactor programme. You will shape strategy, guide technical direction and build a high‑performing team that delivers safe, efficient pump solutions for future nuclear power stations.
Key responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical vision for pump solutions across the SMR programme.
- Build, mentor and lead a multidisciplinary pump engineering team.
- Deliver cross‑functional product development programmes, ensuring cost, schedule and maturity targets.
- Collaborate with suppliers, regulators, senior leaders and customers to integrate robust pump solutions.
- Advance Intelligent Customer capabilities to support long‑term industry leadership.
Required profile
- Proven leadership experience in engineering environments.
- Programme management experience in complex hardware or regulated sectors.
- Deep knowledge of pump technology across the full lifecycle.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with diverse stakeholders.
- Relevant engineering qualification (degree or equivalent experience).
- Experience working in fast‑paced, cross‑functional teams.

What we offer
- Salary £57,600‑£74,500 per year (DOE) plus performance bonus up to 12.5%.
- Benefits allowance £2,200 for a bespoke package.
