Managing Director – International Textiles & Interiors

About the role

Our client, a leading international business in textiles, interiors and specialist product distribution, is seeking a Managing Director to steer the next phase of growth. Based in Burnley, the role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on operational leadership across UK, Europe and North America.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the commercial and strategic direction to achieve sustainable growth in UK, European and North American markets.
• Develop and nurture key customer, supplier and stakeholder relationships to expand international revenue streams.
• Oversee global sourcing, import, export, supply‑chain and logistics operations, ensuring efficiency and high‑level customer service.
• Build organisational capability through leadership development, succession planning and a scalable management structure.

Required profile

• Proven success in a senior leadership role within an SME or entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong understanding of international sourcing, import/export and supply‑chain management, including experience with Asian manufacturing partners.
• Track record of leading and developing high‑performing teams.
• Highly commercial with solid financial acumen, managing profitability and working capital.
