About the role
We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join a well‑established manufacturing business in Ashton‑under‑Lyne. The role is permanent, days‑based and offers extensive training, overtime opportunities and a supportive work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual horizontal boring and milling machines.
- Interpret customer drawings and specifications to produce medium‑heavy workpieces.
- Maintain high standards of quality and safety while machining specialist components.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet delivery targets.
Required profile
- Qualified Manual Machinist with proven experience on manual horizontal boring/milling equipment.
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Commitment to producing accurate, high‑quality parts.

What we offer
- Salary £38,000 – £39,000 per year
