Manual Turner – Precision Component Manufacturing

About the role

We are expanding our manufacturing team and need an experienced Manual Turner to produce high‑quality components for sectors such as aerospace, utilities and food & drink. You will work on a small, collaborative crew, using manual lathes and hand tools to meet tight tolerances.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain manual turning machines.
• Interpret technical drawings and produce parts to close tolerances.
• Use hand tools and mechanical equipment for finishing operations.
• Inspect finished parts, document results and ensure quality standards.
• Work independently and support teammates as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Manual Turner (minimum 2 years preferred).
• Competence in setting and operating manual machines.
• Apprenticeship or equivalent Time Served qualification.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• UK work authorization.

What we offer

• £17‑£20 per hour (experience dependent) – 39 hours/week.
• Overtime paid time‑and‑a‑half weekdays, double weekends.
